Shriya was born in Dehradun, 11 September 1982. Neeraja's mother is a teacher and his father is Pushpendra Saran, in collaboration with Bharat Heavy Metal Works. Has an older brother Abhiroop.
Shriya grew up in Ranipur. He studied in Delhi Public School and has earned a BA in Literature from Lady Sri Ram College. It is also a Kathak dancer, under Shobha Narayan.
