SHRIYA SARAN BIOGRAPHY:
Shriya Saran is one of the reigning queens in the south Indian film, her face transforming from innocence to glamorous with remarkable ease. Language is no barrier to the actress, when she was to assume roles in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and English movies.

Shriya was born in Dehradun on 11 September 1982. Neeraja Her mother, a schoolteacher and her father is Pushpendra Saran, working with Bharat Heavy Metal Works. She has an older brother Abhiroop.
Shriya grew up in Ranipur. She studied at Delhi Public School and earned a BA in Literature from Lady Sri Ram College. She is also a Kathak dancer trained under Shobha Narayan.
She started as a model, as shown in several commercials such as Brooke Bond, Red Label, Lux and Head & Shoulders. She was also a part of the music videos as Tirakthi Kyun Hawa Reenu Nathan, who was shot in Benares.
Lighting Up The Screen
Shriya broke into films with a Telugu film Ishtam in 2001. Although the movie was not successful, the industry saw her. This was followed by the 2002 film with Nagarjuna's Santosham, who did very well. The other two films, the same year Nuvve Nuvve and Chennakeshava Reddy also did well. She got the opportunity to work with some of the biggest stars and came out with more hits like Tagore (2003) and the Chatrapati (2005).
Her Tamil films like Ennaku 20 Unnaku 18 in 2003, Mazhai in 2005 were performing well at the box office. In 2007 she starred in Azhagiya Tamil Magan and she was cast opposite Rajnikanth in Shivaji: The Boss, who was one of the greatest movies ever made in India
Bollywood has also seen a Tujhe Meri Kasam with Shriya (2003), Thoda Thoda Hum Tum Badlo (2004), Awaarapan (2007) and Mission Istanbul (2008).
